The Frenchie 50th
Pinch me guys! This was the setting of a monumental event in my life - 50! Yup! I cannot even believe it! You know what?! I am not going to hide it - I am going to shout about it - I have survived half of a century! As a matter of fact, I did not just survive, I feel like I lived the motto "Carpe Diem" or in this case Carpe Half Century - ha! After planning and thinking and replanning and rethinking - my husband hatched a plan. We had talked about a couples event, but who am I kidding? I love spending time with girlfriends doing girl things! So it turned into a weekend of just that, mimosas, antiquing, rose wine, vintage clothing shopping, wonderful meals, rose wine, slumber parties, Apples to Apples and my favorite Diannas German Chocolate Cake and oh, rose wine! It was a heavenly weekend with 14 friends, some flying in from distances to congregate and celebrate in nearby Frenchtown, NJ on Bastille Day! I was moved to tears several times at the thought of it all. So enough about that - why am I blogging about this? The pictures - these pictures tho! Enjoy!
Each Place setting had these adorable Eiffel Tower favor boxes. What might you ask was in them? The delishiousness that can only come from a home made truffle (check out Truffle Bar if you are a Lehigh Valley local!).
One of my favorite activities of the weekend was assembling these arrangements in several pieces from my milk glass collection. That eucalyptus - Does anyone else just love bluish greenery right now? It just made these arrangements! The funny thing is this table had to be set up by the staff at The Golden Pheasant. I (or I should say we - one of my besties was there with me) had to set it up on the bar for a mock up the day before so they would know the vision! The vision that included antique books and pages torn from old French books!
So its a wrap! No pun intended. This little cutie wrap job was one of the game prizes! Thank you for humoring me and coming along on my 50th celebration. Up next will be more about the Marche Maison Vintage Markets FULL-TIME residence at The Goundie House and the Fall Reveal Event coming in September (see the Events tab) as well as my newest venture - Vintage Accessory rentals. Stay tuned....
XOXO,
Michelle
